Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. In October of 2016 Ari Lennox debuted her EP Pho. The EP was where she was recognized. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out in May 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet back in 2012 after she launched her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013.
